Chapter 13- Working Girl (Sort Of)
Courtney was heading over to Club 101 still reeling with joy after the night her and Jason had which included romance, candles, damn when he asked her to marry him she though she would melt right there and then. He had turned all of her insecurities around about Robin and even though she wasn’t expecting a proposal she was happier than ever to have gotten once.
He made all her dreams come true with one smile and all of her fears go away with one kiss. One of the most amazing things about him was though, that he only loved and wanted her and only her.
Amazing
*Sigh*
She felt like a little school girl when she is around him and when he does those Jason things that he does like tucking her hair behind her ear after he kisses her or when he rocks her back to sleep in the middle of the night when she has a nightmare without waking her up. How she let him get so close to the point that he meant everything to her she didn’t know but she was sure glad that she did. She sighed once again as she stepped out of the silver 4x4. She closed the door to her side of her car and the locked it. She stepped into the beautifully designed club and smiled proudly at the fact that Carly did this in that wacky crazy mind of hers.
Her blue eyes wandered the place where she used to work only to find a pair of blue eyes wandering back at her.
“Well place hasn’t changed much, and is still the most beautiful club around, don’t you think so?” the handsome blond hair blue eyed Australian man challenged her to another game of wits as he waged his blond brows once.
“I liked it better when Carly was running it. Now she owns the best and prettiest club around.” Courtney said with a smirk. She stopped Jacks from talking once again, “okay it’s too early in the morning to bicker like we are a married old couple added to the fact that I’m repulsed by your silk macho charm and that spending the day with you may seem like heaven to Brenda but its like being in a swamp of puke to me. Oh and plus I’m already engaged to Jason but I’m not going to have this sarcastic fight of who can dis who more mostly because I know I will win and because I just don’t feel like it.”
She smiled at the comment. She was engaged to Jason.
“Wow engaged so where’s the ring? With all that illegal business, [achem] I mean coffee business money I would of thought that you would have a rock the size of a mountain or two”
“You know what; Jason is a good man no matter what you say. And we do not need material objects to show our love to each other.
“Oh did I hit a nerve?”
“No you didn’t”
“Ok well Congratulations you seem very happy.”
“Thank you and I am.”
“Ok let’s get to the fundraiser shall we?”
“That’s the best idea I’ve heard from you from all the time that I have known you Jasper Jacks.” She gives him a cute wink.
“Okay enough how about a truce?”
“Deal on one condition”
“What’s that?”
“You get me a Pepsi.”
“One Pepsi coming up.” Jacks said with a smile as they shook hands. Jacks held on to her hand a little longer than he should have and it didn’t go unnoticed by Courtney as she took her hand away as he went in to get her drink.
He came back in with her beverage of choice and she thanked him. She continued with her ideas.
“Well I was thinking you could have an S shaped platform that would go around the bar and have more tables around the platform so the club wouldn’t be a stage with seats but still the club with dinner and entertainment and maybe some music and we could get people to volunteer to model, oh maybe Gia, and Emily and….” She was about to say Robin but decided against it.
“And you?” Jacks offered.
“Me?” No I’m not good at the whole modeling thing.
“Why not? No I mean I’m serious I mean have you looked in the mirror? And don’t tell me you didn’t have boys chasing you down the hall when you were in high school.”
Courtney started to blush. “No I think that’s more of Brenda and Robin’s type of thing”
“Robin? Where did that come from? I didn’t think you ever met her, or knew her for that matter.”
“Did someone mention little old’ me?”
Well what did you all think? Good thoughts I hope tell me the honest truth?
