Love & Marriage

The sun rays shined through the windows and landed directly on a sleeping Jason. Stirring a little Jason finally opened his eyes. Reaching over he felt an empty cold space next to him. The emptiness made Jason startled as worry washed over him. After analyzing his surrounding he remembered that Carly and Sonny made this big fuss about not seeing the bride before the wedding. So both Jason and Courtney agreed that she would stay in Penthouse 2 for the night. The memory brought a smile to Jason’s face. Looking over at the clock and seeing that it was quarter pass ten Jason got up and headed toward the shower. He had promised Carly that he, Sonny, and Michael would be at The Cellar by noon to make sure the arrangement were set.
Meanwhile over at Penthouse 2 Carly and Courtney had left at eight to go get their hair done. As the elevator reached the top floor of the Harbourview Towers a head stuck out as the door opened. “Okay Courtney the coast is clear, let’s go.” A three month pregnant Carly said as she grabbed the bride to be’s hand. “Carly hold on! Jason is probably still sleeping.” Just as she said the last word the knob to Penthouse 4 turned. Carly basically dragged Courtney into Penthouse 2 and up the stairs. Jason entered Penthouse 2 just in time to hear Sonny say, “what’s the rush girls?”
“Carly?” was all Jason could say before both men burst out laughing.
“I heard that.” Carly screamed from upstairs.
“You ready to go?” Jason asked Sonny as they both calmed down. “Yeah, let me go get Michael.”
“No let me get him.” Jason pleaded.
“You know Carly isn’t going to like this.” Sonny said as he rubbed his hand over his forehead.
“Thanks Sonny.” With that said Jason went up the stairs two steps at a time.
Before reaching Michael’s room Jason took a detour to the guest bedroom where he knew his beautiful goddess was staying. “Courtney,” he whispered as he knocked on the door. “Courtney” he called again. Seeing that she wasn’t going to open the door Jason decided to tell her how he felt through the door.
“Courtney, I know you can hear me. I just wanted to say how happy I am and it is all because of you. I can’t wait for you to officially become my wife. Even though in my heart you already are. I love -.” He was interrupted by a screaming Carly.
“Jason Morgan you step away from that door right now.”
“Woah! Carly calm down, I didn’t go in or anything.”
“Yeah well that’s too close for comfort. Now go!” Carly demanded. Jason can hear Courtney laughing behind the door.
“Okay, okay. You hormones are definitely running high today -.”
“Jason!” Carly a little annoyed with his comment.
“Sorry Carly! Since I can’t see my bride can you give this to her?” Jason said as he handed Carly a long velvet box.
“I love you Courtney. I will see you in a few hours.” With that Jason went to get Michael and all three left the penthouse.
Carly entered the bedroom to see Courtney in a fit of laughter. “Oh stop it you’re going to ruin your hair. Now your lovely groom wanted to give you this.” Carly said handing Jason’s gift to Courtney. Courtney grasp in shock as she opened the box to reveal a heart locket with the letters “J” and “C” intertwined in diamond on the front and on the back was the inscription: “Take the Journey with me forever!”
“Oh my god, Jason never ceases to amaze me.” Courtney said as she wipes the last tears that flowed from her eyes. Jason’s romantic gesture completely shocked Carly. She had never expected Jason to be so romantic.
“He surprises me everyday. Courtney you truly bring out the best in Jason and it shows every time I see him. Now let’s get you married girl.” Carly said pulling Courtney over to the vanity mirror. “Thank you so much Carly for everything.”
“Hey, that’s what the matron of honor is for.” Carly said excitedly.
The ladies finally left the penthouse around noon and were heading toward The Cellar, where the wedding ceremony would take place.
The moment they all have been waiting for has finally come. The Cellar was beautifully decorated with candlelight and red and white rose pedals scattered down the steps toward the front stage. White lilies and purple orchids lined the railing of the stairs that lead down to The Cellar. It was not a large ceremony. Guest in attendance to celebrate the union of Jason Morgan and Courtney Matthews were her parents Mike and Janine, the Quartermaines, the Spencer men, Bobbie, and even Scott Baldwin, who was only invited if he keeps his mouth shut.
Jason and Sonny in their tuxes waited patiently at the front of the stage. The music began for Michael to walk down the aisle bearing the originally made wedding bands Jason had ordered. The rings were a platinum band with the inscription “Everlasting Journey” inside. In addition on Courtney’s band were five ½ karat diamonds.
When Michael finally reached Sonny, Carly began her march down the aisle. Carly was wearing a simple yet elegant pastel pink, strapless dress with sequins. The dress fitted all the curves of her pregnant body beautifully. Her hair was held up in a French twist.
